Weichmacher auf biologischer Basis ist ein ungiftiger, harmloser Tributylester, der eine Vielzahl von Vorteilen bietet, wenn er als Weichmacher in Polymeren auf Wasser- und Lösungsmittelbasis verwendet wird.

Diese Polymere umfassen Acryl-, Methacryl-, Ethylcellulose-, Hydroxymethylcellulose-, Nitrocellulose-, Vinylacetat-, Vinylchlorid-, Vinylpyrrolidonvinylidchlorid- und Urethanpolymerformulierungen.
