Bio-PE ist ein Polyethylen, das in derselben Kette recycelbar ist, die für das Recycling von traditionellem Polyethylen aus fossilen Quellen verwendet wird. Es ist nicht biologisch abbaubar, so dass das vom Produkt aufgenommene CO2 während des gesamten Lebenszyklus des Kunststoffs fixiert bleibt.
